Today was one of the bloodiest days since the beginning of the revolution in the suburban area. Fifty-nine victims were reported including women, children and even entire families, thirty-one victims in Douma. Victims were killed during snipers shooting, random shelling and summary execution. Dozens of the victims are still waiting to be buried, as cities continue to be under fire. In addition, dozens of injuries were reported, many in serious condition.
Al-Assad militias showed the world a beyond believe atrocity in the massacres committed in Douma against the trapped residents, as military troops on foot shot at close range civilians and slashed some with knives. Regime militias carried vicious assaults on homes and farms, launched random detention raid and detained dozens of peaceful civilians. Snipers stationed on rooftops, shot randomly and terrorized civilians.
Rural Damascus was a real battlefield as regime military launched heavy shelling using artillery, tanks and even warplanes, killing and injuring dozens of civilians destroying homes, businesses and infrastructure, spreading a state of panic among civilians and forcing residents to evacuate their cities.
