Thirty three residents were killed across the suburban area this Wednesday; Hazzah 6, Douma 6, ’Erbeen 2, Bait Jin 2, Azzamania 2, Harasta 2, Muaddamyyat Asham 1, Jdaidet ‘Artooz 1, Beda 1, Hezerma 1, Maid’aa 1, Hosh Addawahra 1, Alqaissa 1, Kafr Batna 1, Azzabadani 1, Latakia 1 (killed in Said Naya prison), Dar’aa I (killed in Said Naya prison), Jobar 1 (killed in Hazzah) and Damascus 1 (Killed in ‘Erbeen.)
Hazzah: Regime forces aerially bombarded civilian homes with four explosive barrels carried by parachutes. As a result, a man and all his five children were killed, thirty residents were injured, mostly women and children and numerous homes were leveled to the ground.
Douma: Five residents, including two children,were killed and dozens were critically wounded during aerial bombardment and rocket and artillery shelling on the city. Four explosive barrels and more that 50 shells rained down on civilian homes behind the city hall.
Azzamania: Assad forces targeted the town with rocket launchers killing and wounding civilians. A woman and child were among the victims.
Alqaissa: Regime forces attempted to invade the town from two different directions amid fierce rocket and tank shelling. The attacks led to the injury of dozens of civilians, forced most residents to flee their homes and destroyed homes as well as the town mosque.
Al’abadeh: Five aerial raids, six surface-to-surface rockets and artillery shelling targeted the town. Fifteen residents were
wounded and numerous homes were destroyed as a result. The Free Syrian Army targeted Assad forces with mortar shelling killing regime soldiers and militias and destroyed a military vehicle.
Harasta: Fierce mortar shelling targeted the districts on the western side of the freeway killing on residents and wounding others.
Anneshabia: Heavy artillery shelling targeted the town. No injuries have been reported.
Alqutaifa: A scud missile was launched by 155th brigade towards the northern Syrian territories at 8:16 pm.
Almlaiha: At least 15 regime fighters were killed near Annur roadblock while attempting to approach Thameco complex. Fierce clashes between the Free Syrian Army and regime forces took place near Annur and Thameco roadblocks amid fierce regime shelling on the area.
Zamalka: An aerial raid and fierce heavy-artillery and rocket shelling targeted the town. Fierce clashes between the Free Syrian Army and regime forces took place on the southern bypass [ Zamalka’s side.]
Consecutive aerial raids targeted the eastern and western Ghootas starting the early morning hours. Hazzah, Zamalka, 'Erbeen, Dareyya, Muaddamyyat Asham and jobar were among the targeted towns.
‘Ain Tarma: Clashes between the Free Syrian Army and regime forces occurred on the southern bypass amid tank and mortar shelling.
‘Adraa: The 14th regiment stationed in Alqutaifa targeted the suburban area with rocket shelling.
Western Ghoota: Regime warplanes hovered heavy over Qatana, ‘Artooz, Ajdaida, Alkesswa, Khan Shaikoon, Muaddamyyat Asham and Dareyya.
Saqba: Four Free Syrian Army fighters were Killed: Mus’ab Mufeed Shakhtoot, Fadi Ryiad Abu Athahab, Noor Adeen Barakat and (Aleppo) and “Essa Al’abdallah (Deir Ezzor.)
Azzabadani: Siba Atatri (child) died of her wound sustained during regime shelling on the city on Tuesday,April 40, 2013. Siba suffered a a shrapnel injury in the head.
Dareyya: Consecutive aerial raids resumed against the city. Regime forces targeted the southern quarter with air fuel bombs killing two residents, wounding others and causing colossal damage to buildings. The continues to suffer deteriorated humanitarian conditions.
Intermittent clashes between the Free Syrian Army and regime forces took place at several fronts.
Regime forces launched an aerial raid with MiG fighter jets on the city's farms. The fourth division stationed in Mt. Mu’addamya targeted residential areas with artillery shelling. Two residents were killed this Wednesday.
