Twenty six residents were killed in rural Damascus this Sunday; Athiyabiyah 4, Douma 4, Kafr Ezait 2, Mu’addamiyyat Ashaam 2 and one victim in each of the following: Almlaiha, ‘Erbeen ,Harran Ala’awameed (killed in Alqaisa), Dareyya, Bait Jin, Alflaita, Sa’asa’a, Bait Saber, Dumair, Jdaidet Ashaibani, Dummar (killed in Wadi Barada) and Aleppo (killed in ‘Adraa.)
Eastern Ghoota: Regime warplanes fiercely bombarded the cities and towns of Eastern Ghoota (mainly Harasta) setting farmlands on fire.
Harasta: Assad warplanes launched four aerial raids on the city including the quarter adjacent to the freeway as well as the vicinity of Ammar Bin Yasser Mosque. The Free Syrian Army (FSA) set an explosive device in a commercial building killing several regime soldiers. Furthermore, the FSA also targeted regime forces while attempting to rescue their wounded and dead on Damascus International Freeway, destroying a tank, an artillery and two military vehicles. Fierce clashes between the FSA and regime forces also took place in the city.
Barada Valley: Regime forces fiercely shelled Barada valley and Efra and continued to besiege the entire region in an attempt to deprive the residents from humanitarian aids. Residents fear more military escalation against the region after the regime attack which took place yesterday after a failed attempt to regain control over the liberated checkpoints. Twenty residents were killed and fifty were wounded during yesterday’s attack amid a severe shortage of medical supplies and lack of all forms of communication.
Bait Jin: One residents was killed and several were wounded during regime shelling on the town. Massive military reinforcements surround Harfa in an attempt to invade the town amid total outage of all forms of communication.
Azzabadani: Dozens of shells rained down on the city during the morning hours. The city suffers a deteriorated humanitarian condition as result of the stifling siege imposed on the city and severe shortage in medical supplies.
Babeela, Yelda and Bait Sahim: Regime forces targeted homes with fierce rocket and mortar shelling wounding residents.
Alqtaifeh: Assad forces stationed at the 155th brigade fired a Scud missile towards the northern Syrian territories.
Yabroud: Assad forces resumed fierce artillery and rocket launcher shelling on the city. Assinaa and Alqaah districts were particularly targeted in the shelling attacks.
