Twenty citizens were killed in rural Damascus on the 4th of July, 2013; Douma 3, Almlaihah 2, Hajeerah 1, Saqba 1, Zebdeen 1, Mu'addamiyyat Ashaam 1, Hafeer Foqa 1, Jisreen 1, Al'aabadah 1, Mu'addamiyyat Alqalamoon 1, Dareyya 1, Latakia 1 (killed in Assayda Zainab), Aleppo 1 (killed in 'Erbeen), Homs 1 (killed in Saidnaya Prison), Idlib 1 (killed in Saidnaya Prison) and Hamah 1 (killed in Saidnaya Prison.)
Western Ghoota: Assad forces targeted Attaybah with fierce shelling amid power outage, killing five residents and wounding seven others. Two women and one citizen from Almqailabiyah were among the victims. It was also reported that many other wounded residents were trapped in their homes as rescuers were unable to reach them due to the intensity of the shelling.
Douma: Fierce rocket and mortar shelling targeted the city.
Eastern Ghoota: Regime forces stationed at Annur checkpoint and inside Thameco Plant in Almlaiha shelled Jisreen, Almlaihah, Kafr Batna, Madyara and Aain Tarma. The shelling led to the injury of a number of residents and destruction of homes.
Harasta: MiG fighter jets bombarded the Southern Bypass while regime forces on the ground targeted the vicinity of the Military Motor Vehicles Administration with mortar shelling. Fierce rocket and mortar shelling resumed against the city during the evening hours.
Zamalka: Fierce gun battles took place on the Southern Bypass near Alqaboon amid fierce and indiscriminate rocket and heavy artillery shelling on the region. As a result, one resident was killed and several others injured; some are in critical condition.
Annabek: Regime shelling targeted the eastern farmlands.
Mu'addamiyyat Ashaam: Assad forces shelled Aleman Mosque, causing colossal damage to the building and its minaret.
Azzabadani: Fierce shelling targeted several districts in the city.
