Thirty eight residents were killed in rural Damascus this Wednesday. The fatalities per area were as follows; Albuwaida 16, Athiyabiyah 8, Alhusseiniyah 4, Beqain 2, Douma 2, Deir 'Attiyah 1, ‘Erbeen 1, Madaya 1, Kafr Zait 1, Azzabadani 1 and Hajeerah 1.
The Southern Suburban Area: Regime forces targeted the region with unprecedented surface-to-surface missile, mortar and rocket bombardment while regime MiG fighter jets strafed Albuwaida. Twenty eight citizens were killed and dozens of others were wounded as a result. At least thirty five wounded residents are in a serious condition and risk to die due to the deteriorated humanitarian conditions in the area. Fierce clashes raged between the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and regime forces in Athiyabiyah, Alhusseiniah and Hajeeret Alablad townships as well as Asheik Omar village as regime tanks and armored vehicles supported by Abu Elfadl Alabbas Brigade and Hezbollah fighters (pro-regime foreign Shiite fighters) infiltrated roads and farmlands connecting the townships, establishing barricades and isolating each township from the others. However, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) killed dozens of regime soldiers, snipers and Abu Elfadl Alabbas fighters in the aforementioned village and townships and besieged many others in a number of buildings in Alhusseiniyah Palestinian Refugee Camp.
'Erbeen: Regime warplanes launched two aerial raids on residential areas, killing one citizen and wounding a number of others.
Hajeeret Albalad: A media activist was killed while covering regime shelling on the township and clashes between the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and regime forces.
Mu'addamiyyat Ashaam: The Fourth Division resumed their systematic shelling on residential areas, and the humanitarian conditions in the city continue to worsen.
Eastern Ghootah: Assad forces continue to seal off all roads leading to the capital, imposing a stifling siege on the Eastern Ghoota region and depriving its residents from the most essential needs such medicine and food.
Almlaihah: Assad forces fiercely shelled the city’s farmlands surrounding the 81st Regiment during the evening hours, and clashes between the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and regime forces occurred near the area.
